Venus Development Group develops super premium estates in exclusive neighborhoods. Venus currently serves the San Francisco Bay Area and the Dallas Park Cities Area. Established in 2012 by founder and CEO Jon Venverloh, the company has built a reputation for creating beautiful, excellent and environmentally conscious homes for today’s most discerning families.
Our team
The Venus team brings together experienced professionals passionate about delivering beauty and excellence. The Venus team comprises local teams and centralized teams. Local teams recommend property for acquisition and play a key role in development of the project and its ultimate sale. Centralized teams provide project financing, legal, accounting, tax and other services. Using the well proven Crow team model, the Venus team remains sensitive to market and buyer demands while protecting investor and operator capital.

2012
The first Venus Homes project
On a quiet cul de sac in downtown Menlo Park, California, Jon Venverloh and Jeff Chase complete Venus Homes’ first residence, a beautiful Cape Cod style home.
2013
Judy Citron joins the team
Judy Citron traces her 10-year history with Venus back to the first project she brought to the group at 1035 Creek in Menlo Park, later developed as 1 Princeton Avenue.
2017
Venus welcomes outside investors
With five years of success behind us, we welcome outside investors to participate in Venus Homes projects starting in 2017.
2022
2 Venus projects set 3 all-time records
In July 2022, a Venus Homes project sells for a new all-time record price of $15.6 million, just beating the September 2020 record previously set by a different Venus Homes project of $14.75 million. And then that earlier project sold again at $16.75 million only 18 months after completion, setting another sale price record.

Venus starts first Dallas are project
With its 2022 acquisition of 6901 Hunters Glen Road in the Volk Estates neighborhood of University Park, Texas, Venus starts its first Dallas area project.
